Phonelocator, along with the other contestants in the LBS Challenge ,was put through its paces by a panel of judges made up executives from leading wireless carriers, handset manufacturers, tool and platform providers, and venture capitalists.

Phonelocator has been selected as a semi finalist in the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge. As NAVTEQ put it, “The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge continues to be the symbol of innovation in the mobile LBS space by shining a spotlight on its most talented developers and entrepreneurs.”

NAVTEQ has invited Birkett Enterprise to Barcelona for Mobile World Congress where phonelocator will be pitted against the other semi finalists (see here). An overall winner will be selected for the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region.
