Hi,

May I suggest a few improvements to phonelocator.text, so that it
becomes more usable for my application, and I guess for many other
users, too.

1. need an option to define a default recipient

I need to send up to a dozen or so location messages daily. selecting the
recipient off the phone book each and every time is a hassle. As the
recipient is the same in most cases anyway, a default recipient defined
through an options dialogue would be nice.

2. need to define prototype sms text

as the sms in my case ends up in a web application, I need to edit the
sms text every time to suit the format that my application requires. I
suggest an options dialogue that allows to define an sms boilerplate,
someting like this:

"hi $recipient, at $time I was at location $lat,$lon"

3. need to be able to select recipient and edit the sms text when there
is no GPS fix available any more

as soon a the program gets a gps fix, it should memorize the location
and time and let me choose the recipient, edit and send the sms any
time later. Imagine I'm standing in the rain a few minutes to get a gps
fix and then, I have to stand yet another few minutes in the rain to
pick the recipient - the latter part should be avoidable.

4. immediate sms option.

if the recipient and the sms text is predefined, there should be an
option to send the sms without further program interaction. Ideally,
with this option, starting the app is all it needs. If the "immediate"
option is set, the program should send the sms (once!) as soon it gets
the GPS fix, then terminate or (again, optionally) stay active
displaying the sms that has been sent.

I hope you find some of these suggestions worth implementing.

Thanks for listening and Regards,
Gregor Neaga

I had not considered this. SonyEricsson have stopped building Symbian phones. There were only three compatible SE phones ever made:

    * Sony Ericsson Satio
    * Sony Ericsson Vivaz
    * Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro

However, if there's demand, maybe we should look for a solution to this problem.

I have a Sony Ericsson mobile, I do not have access to the ovi store, I want to buy the new version 1. app, but where can I download it? if I can not enter in the ovi store? You should offer the app here on your birkett-enterprise Webseite. Regards Hannes
